Things that can cause myopia
Myopia can happen at any age. Myopia can start in childhood. Sometimes myopia can be caused by genetics for no other reason. For example, if both parents are myopic, the child will be myopic.
Age
Myopia can start between the ages of 6 and 14 and become more severe in the early 20s. Because the size of the eye changes with age, the lens of the eye no longer captures the image normally.
Very focused
Over time, work that requires close attention to the eyes can strain the vision and cause nearsightedness.
A close look
Looking closely at the computer, what kind of things? Reading with eyes close to the book, Reading where there is no good light, Too much screen time, etc.
When working with a computer, I tend to get close to my eyes. Once you’ve noticed, walk away.
It’s like reading. If you read in a poorly lit place, strain your eyes to see better. I often do things close to the book. So read in a well-lit area.
If you spend most of the day looking at your phone or looking at the computer, you are getting too many screens, which can lead to myopia in the long run. Usually, if people look at the phone, they look close to the screen. It’s like straining my eyes because I’m not looking at it.
